Associate Director of Digital Content

** hybrid, Port Washington, Long Island **


Summary/Objective: The Associate Director of Digital Content is responsible for translating marketing strategies into digital content strategy. The role will develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets. Collaboration within marketing team including communications and online retail areas will be key in order to manage overall content needs. This position will oversee development, execution and delivery of digital content across all our client's channels. The ideal candidate should know how to apply data analytics to personalize and optimize content.


Essential Functions


  • Lead and support Brand strategy and awareness across all digital mediums for our client's brand
  • Manage the internal Digital Content team as well as supervise and facilitate a team of vendor partners; generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project
  • Support all content needs including consistent updates to imagery/video database, and all educational needs for online site that are premium, high quality and engaging for the consumer.
  • Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention across all of our online channels.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analytics to upper management on KPI’s, engagement and conversion rates, and overall performance of ad campaigns across all social channels with creative strategy to improve metrics
  • Collaborates across functions including communications, online retail and brand management to deliver an effective content marketing strategy to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
  • Channel management of digital content hubs and all supporting channels including online retailers and owned properties. This person must understand the basic best practices of the main channels, which content and approaches work on each and why
  • Management of all content resources including designers and other agency personnel
  • Provide best practice updates for the US market that can be shared globally


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in combination with 3 to 5 years of specific content/digital/creative experience required
  • people management experience required
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills paired with top creative skills and out of the box thinking
  • Deadline driven leader in a fast-paced environment who can work under unusual or extreme pressure, with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience with various social media platforms and related analytics such as Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Pinterest, and Youtube
  • Expert computer literacy, being able to work with various operating system technologies and software programs. Google Analytics experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Creative Suite software applications, specifically: InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Knowledge of video, photography, retouching & editing processes
  • Cosmetics/Beauty industry experience, a plus
