OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content & Art Director to join our team at Cou Cou Intimates. From conceptualization to execution, you will play a pivotal role in elevating Cou Cou's brand visual identity across all touchpoints, creating an immersive brand world. From social media to e-commerce channels, you will be responsible for direction of all content, conceptualising and executing captivating story-telling & content that resonates and deepens the brand world of Cou Cou. Digital design, photography, concepting, styling, casting, creative production & more – acting as creative right hand to Founder/Creative Director. 

This is a multi-faceted role and best-suits those with a range of skill sets, experience entrepreneurial aptitude & passion for the brand, including:

Brand & Art Direction Content  Digital design ~ including social media, newsletter, e-commerce, paid ads etc.

DETAILS:

FULL TIME – OPEN TO STARTING PART-TIME WORKING WITH:  Founder/Creative Director and Brand & Marketing Director You will have the support of a junior graphic designer to help during busy periods. LOCATION: London, New York or LA Must be open to travel between New York, LA & London for projects with C.D. 

 

BRAND & ART DIRECTION ~

Oversee all consumer facing points of brand and content. Acting as a brand ambassador to ensure that all visual touch points across the brand are consistent and in line with overall creative vision. Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and execute all aspects of brand presentation. Lead the conceptualization and execution of creative campaigns, from ideation to pre & post production, including branding, digital design, photography, styling, casting, and creative direction. Acting as a creative soundboard & support to Creative Director. Assist in shaping and elevating Cou Cou’s brand visual identity & content. Working with the Founder & Creative Director, your role will work to translate our brand's vision and values into compelling and visually stunning digital experiences that resonate. Craft compelling narratives and storytelling around launches & brand campaigns to deepen customer engagement, create emotional connections & brand world. Developing and maintaining a consistent brand image across all visual touchpoints, reflecting the brand's personality, values, and voice. Maintain a cohesive and consistent brand voice on all channels. Ideate original branding, graphics, copy, social media, and other marketing materials. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop strategies that drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and generate sales. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to continually innovate and elevate our content offerings. Contribute to the development and evolution of brand guidelines and creative standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer preferences. Manage and maintain the brand's visual assets, ensuring they are organized, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Overseeing all content strategy & calendar – ensuring all content is optimised to align with brand storytelling, brand calendar. Ensuring we make the best and “squeeze the juice” from all our content Overseeing all social media and creative digital assets - including weekly Instagram schedule proposals & posting. Deliver high-level work and assets aligned with Sales and Marketing objectives and calendar. Develop brand presentation approaches, styles, and techniques. Research market trends and the competitive landscape. Support the CD and founder in coming up with new ideas and approaches for its digital and marketing initiatives Research and understand the market, identify trends, benchmark competitors and inspire the wider team with best-in-class examples of in 'digital/e-commerce first' Art Direction Constantly being on the lookout for & maintaining rolodex of Creatives & Cou Cou girls aligned with the brand – for either casting, Cou Cou Talks feature, content collaborations or seeding/gifting

CONTENT & CREATIVE PRODUCTION ~

Visual direction of all content (primarily social media and e-commerce) – from campaigns, mini-shoots, content collaborations to Cou Cou Talks – ensuring consistency with brand identity and messaging. From strategy & conceptualization, to creation, production (pre/post) & distribution. Lead the conceptualization and execution of creative campaigns, from ideation to pre & post production, including branding, digital design, photography, styling, casting, and creative direction. Content creation – Conceptualising, producing and delivering beautiful, unique and engaging digital assets (photos/videos/graphics) for all brand channels including .com, social media, newsletters, affiliate and ads Ideally comfortable with taking self-content (this is just a bonus though) Constantly being on the lookout for & maintaining rolodex of Creatives & Cou Cou girls aligned with the brand – for either casting, Cou Cou Talks feature, content collaborations or seeding/gifting Creative production – Leading execution of all shoots & creative content, including pre & post production (e.g. pre – shoot decks, casting, styling; post – selects, editing; distribution – content distribution strategy & calendar, socials)  Moodboarding & mood imagery sourcing. Styling, casting etc. Maintaining creative rolodex for casting, set design, stylists, shoot locations, MUA etc. Work closely with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to execute larger-scale projects while maintaining quality and brand integrity Content strategy – Overseeing content distribution strategy & calendar across platforms (inc. e-commerce/instagram/tiktok/pinterest/paid ads & print) – ensuring all content is optimised to align with brand storytelling, brand calendar. Ensuring we make the best and “squeeze the juice” from all our content Content Distribution – Delivering creative & engaging marketing materials across all platforms –  Social Media – Overseeing all still/video social media and creative digital assets across Instagram, tiktok, pinterest - including weekly Instagram schedule proposals & posting (including captions proposals). E-Comm & Digital– overseeing site-wide e-comm content (inc. product pages, homepages & Cou Cou Talks) & digital marketing/paid ads Weekly Newsletters – Ideation & design of weekly newsletters – working with freelance designer to support in busy period. Monitor performance metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of content initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

 

DIGITAL DESIGN ~

Execute all design across digital (e.g. branding developments, summer zine, event invites, special post-production of photographic assets) Design of all creative & engaging marketing materials & digital assets in accordance with marketing calendar – including social media stories/posts, newsletters & paid ads (as above). Ideate original graphics, copy, social media, and other marketing materials. Presenting final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations, encouraging feedback, and responding to direction and requests. Execution of all brand print assets (packing, event invites, cards etc.) – working with vendors to select tones, materials etc. 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A deep passion for branding, content & creative storytelling Experience with Art Direction within a brand, design agency, luxury or fashion sector. Understanding of the brand & sense of brand/creative strategy. Copywriting skills in brand TOV a plus Range of experience across branding, content (in-house creation, ideation & creative production), social media & delivering engaging marketing materials across socials, e-comm & print. Strong portfolio showcasing:  elevated visual design, typography, and conceptual skills. elevated brand-aligned content ideation & creatio Strong portfolio showcasing art direction skills – elevated visual design, typography, and conceptual skills. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite – Indesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc. Passion for styling, product, brand Basic video editing skills Critical thinker who can anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively; ability to drive for results. Solid experience in post-production supervision. Strong understanding and focus on social media platforms is imperative. Excellent time-management skills and ability to deliver within tight timelines. Natural creative talent leadership. Proven ability in a high-paced environment that values consistency, efficiency and excellence. Strong creative POV with an understanding of business objectives.
