Microsoft 365 Engineer Summary

The Infrastructure Engineer will be focused on supporting the organization's Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems. Responsibilities include design enhancements, administration, and support with a strong emphasis on security, efficiency, reliability, and support. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, manage endpoint devices, and automate tasks using PowerShell.

Microsoft 365 Management:
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other productivity tools.
  • Implement and manage user and license provisioning, security settings, and compliance policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services.
Azure Administration:
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
  • Implement Azure Active Directory for identity management and integration with on-premises Active Directory.
  • Monitor and maintain Azure security and compliance configurations.
Endpoint Management:
  • Oversee endpoint management using tools like Microsoft Intune, ensuring device compliance, configuration, and security.
  • Deploy and manage software updates, applications, and security policies for endpoints.
PowerShell Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating routine tasks and managing infrastructure components.
  • Create and optimize scripts for user provisioning, system monitoring, and reporting.
Active Directory (AD) Management:
  • Administer and support on-premises Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Manage AD integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and monitor security best practices for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Respond to security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, security status, and project progress.

Additional Details:
  • Employment Type: 6+ months with possibility to extend / convert
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday / 9a to 5p
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Location: Memphis
  • Compensation: $60.00 p/h
