Description

Quality Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Oversee and manage the quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement efforts, utilizing methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and to develop actionable insights.
  • Customer Interaction: Interface with customers to address quality-related concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their products meet my client's quality standards and address any quality issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of quality processes, audits, and improvement initiatives, and report findings to senior management.

Profile

Successful Quality Manager:

  • Extensive Quality Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in power transmission or related industries.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a quality assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in Quality Standards: In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, such as ISO 9001.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills to interpret quality data, perform statistical analysis, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement Methodologies: Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in root cause analysis and developing effective corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in quality assurance processes and documentation.
  • Customer-Focused: A strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with experience addressing and resolving customer quality concerns.
  • Educational Background: A relevant degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field, and professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) are preferred.
