As the key player in managing their Elite/3E financial time and billing system, you will lead efforts to support and enhance their financial systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless integration across our global operations.
Job Description:
The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the firm's Elite/3E financial time and billing system, tools, and ancillary software. As the team lead in supporting the Elite financial system and related technologies, this individual will ensure that projects and maintenance activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- System Support: Provide day-to-day support for Elite 3E and other business applications that integrate with Elite.
- User Account Management: Assist with user account management in Elite 3E, iTimeKeep, and ChromeRiver.
- Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between the IT and Finance departments, working closely with Finance personnel to support the firm’s financial systems.
- Reporting: Generate high-quality financial and statistical reports for internal clients. Analyze and report on client, matter, and timekeeper performance.
- Data Management: Assist with system balancing and data audit activities. Manage data related to new and existing clients, perform quality control (QC) reviews, and review new client data in Elite.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Handle daily maintenance of the firm’s financial, time, and billing systems. Perform data upload activities, oversee automated data hygiene processes, and support installations, upgrades, customizations, and optimizations.
- Testing: Create test scripts, conduct/coordinate User Acceptance Testing, and collaborate with the IT Services Group to test software patches, upgrades, or regular system enhancements.
- Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement projects by identifying and implementing efficiencies to improve accuracy and/or reduce labor requirements. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
Requirements:
- Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- System Experience: Experience in administering the Elite system or 3E, including testing software upgrades, using SQL Server Management Studio, and creating and running SQL queries.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to accurately perform mathematical functions and possess the analytical skills necessary to interpret data correctly.
- Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in technology or 5+ years of experience in a related field is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Elite user support is required, with experience in 3E system administration preferred.
