Datum is looking for a creative and thoughtful Jr. Designer to join our team We are a funded, stealth start-up building software for the real estate industry. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping our product by both building from scratch and refining existing parts of the product with Datum’s design language in mind. While this role reports directly to the Product Designer, you must be able to manage yourself, your tasks, and projects.


This is an in-office position.


Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Product Designer, CEO and COO to refine and visualize product design.

• Create visuals – from conceptual wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes – to communicate design for discussion and testing purposes.

• Produce finished design specifications with detailed requirements for product launches.

• Prioritize simple and beautiful human-centered design throughout the creation of the product.

• Maintain the organization of Figma files and component libraries.

• Support the Product Designer as needed.


Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.

• Proficiency in Figma is a must.

• Strong UX/UI background with a demonstrated ability to create intuitive interfaces that improve, simplify, and calm user workflows.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to both receive critique and advocate for your ideas

• Lives in Los Angeles or can commute is required.

• Some Adobe Suite, html, and CSS experience is a plus.


Compensation

• $55-70k depending on experience

• .05% equity
