Where Your Career is a Force for Good Responsibilities: If you are energetic, self-motivated, like the fast pace of sales, and enjoy working with diverse volunteers, the American Red Cross has an opportunity for you We have an opening on our Charleston, SC Donor Recruitment team in for an outside sales representative, Sickle Cell Account Manager, who is responsible for developing partnerships with African American current and potential blood drive coordinators and blood donor groups to grow diverse blood collection targets for area blood drives. A sickle cell patient can require multiple blood transfusions per year throughout their lifetime. Sickle cell patients are more likely to find a compatible blood match from a donor of the same race or ethnic group. Scope: Individual contributor that works under close supervision. Uses technical knowledge to solve routine types of problems. If you are energetic, self-motivated, like the fast pace of sales, and enjoy working with diverse donors and volunteers, the American Red Cross has an opportunity for you We have an opening on our South Carolina Region Donor Recruitment team (covering 42 SC counties) for a Sickle Cell Account Manager, responsible for developing partnerships with diverse current and potential blood drive coordinators and blood donor groups to grow diverse blood collections Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree required. Experience: Minimum one-year related experience required or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Management Experience: N/A Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Ability to work on a team. Travel: May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization. * Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted). Salary Range: $53,100 - $70,830 Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
