Field Technician

Our client in Houston, Texas has immediate need for a field technician on a contract to possible hire basis.


Company Profile:

Commercial truck center

Onsite and travel required


Field Technician Role:

As a Field Technician you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Troubleshooting both hardware and software features

Working with 3rd party software vendors to troubleshoot problems

Provide excellent internal customer service

Set up of printers and password changes

General Desktop support

Some basic networking

Replace and set up of computers

Hardware setup, upgrade, and maintenance skills, including desktop, server, and LAN peripherals.

Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP).


Field Technician Background Profile:

Must have at least 3+ years of related work experience required

Experience setting up computers, troubleshooting and upgrading required

Experience working with 3rd party vendors for software issues a plus

Strong troubleshooting ability

Excellent communication

Ability to travel locally within the state of Texas

Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and clear driving record

Ability to pass a background and drug test

Availability to start ASAP

Must not have any problems with taking down and setting up computers

Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period when needed

Must be able to stoop, crawl, etc.
