The Graphic Designer should be naturally talented in the art of graphic design and have an eye for detail and trends. The work demands industry knowledge, up to date software knowledge, as well as a professional approach to time, cost and deadlines.

Experience should be varied and include creating graphic designs for apparel as well as logos and illustrations. Equally important to graphic skills, our designers must understand the importance of research, timelines and creating graphics for different customer needs.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

  • Create original designs for seasonal collections.
  • Prepare story board/design concepts based on individual or group research.
  • Illustrate understanding of concepts by designing a layout of art/collections including arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Effectively submit designs for approval with thorough understanding of individual brand guidelines as well as basic copyright laws and regulations.
  • Work with merchandising to help establish cad templates and color pallets seasonally.
  • Understanding and communicating how graphics are applied, placements, different inks on multiple substrates, as well as researching new techniques and applying them.
  • Prepare work/art files to be used by our supply chain as well as collaborate with product development on approvals.

·        Work with product development and merchandising on ideas for new collections, colors, and/or new brands.

·        Understand time and action calendars-by customer to assure deadlines are met.

Graphic Designer Requirements:

·        Must have a good comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles for apparel and be able to design a variety of different looks.

·        Experience creating t-shirt graphic designs

·        Strong illustration skills

·        Very familiar with digital file formats (psd, ai, eps, jpeg, tiff, gif, png, etc.) and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, (illustrator and Photoshop) are a must.

·        Must have good comprehension of the Sporting goods industry and brands within it or the ability to show a connection that would agreeably be a good fit.

·        Must have the ability to adapt and research new creative avenues and needs of the company as we grow.

·        Individual must be able to multi-task and work with deadlines on day-to-day issues while still understanding the larger picture and working towards seasonal graphic needs of the company.

·        Completes projects in a timely manner as well contributing to team projects/deadlines as they arise.

·        Excellent communication skills and a winning attitude


·        Bachelor’s degree in graphic art, apparel design, and/or equivalent work experience.

·        Minimum 4 years of Apparel or related industry.
