Position Overview:

Due to increased demand from our valued clients and new business opportunities, S+H Construction is expanding our Small Works Division. We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead this division, driving operational and financial performance, managing projects and teams, and ensuring the highest level of service for our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational and financial performance of the Small Works Division.
  • Manage employees and subcontractors to deliver top-quality service.
  • Conduct site visits with homeowners to produce accurate estimates and timely change orders.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and management.
  • Ensure compliance with local permitting processes by collaborating with town managers.
  • Produce detailed financial budget reports to keep customers informed.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies in consultation with management.
  • Innovate solutions to meet client needs and improve internal processes.
  • Report to the Field Director and manage staffing resources to meet workload demands.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of custom home building, renovations, and handyman work.
  • Strong budget management and financial monitoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, including goal setting, motivation, training, and mentorship.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and customer service orientation.
  • Passion for the construction industry and a commitment to quality work.
