We are hiring for a Project Controls Manager in the greater Detroit area to join our Program Management Office (PMO) Team This position provides high-level support to the PMO Director and supports our client with oversight of multiple project sites. You will manage financial reporting processes and programs, project control metrics for past and active projects, and oversee project management plan development to drive success. What you’ll do:

  • Perform month-end closing reports utilizing Earned Value Management best practices.
  • Lead and assist the development, review, and reporting of client schedules for specific projects and programs.
  • Consolidate and assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports based on schedule performance.
  • Create Project Control Plans for the PMO and designated projects.
  • Develop project control dashboards to provide real-time reporting to clients.
  • Update and monitor company database with project metrics from past and current projects.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all regular and ad hoc management reports.
  • Assist with the establishment and implementation of short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Develop processes and business partner relationships with internal and external groups that will improve the flow of project performance information within the company.
  • Perform system administrative duties including modifying and creating reports.

What you bring:


Education:

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university in related field highly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience, including 5 years as a project/program scheduler
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in quarterly and yearly financial reports, audit preparation, and team management.
  • Previous industry experience with creating, updating, and reviewing cost and resource loaded schedules.
  • Prior cost and schedule experience in Auto Industry Assembly Plants, Advanced Manufacturing or Mission Critical faculties is preferred.
  • Battery Construction Project experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera 6 scheduling software required.
  • Experience as a construction scheduler / project controls manager preferred.
  • Power BI and Pivot Tables experience preferred.
  • Strong communicator both written and oral.
  • Bilingual English-Korean technical speaking capability preferred.
