Qualifications:

Have 8+ years sourcing experience with considerable understanding of procurement concepts, principles and at least 5+ years of commodity or category management and Global Strategic Sourcing experience.

APICS or CAPM certification a plus.

5+ years MRP experience, preferably with SAP

Have deep understanding of raw metal alloys, subtractive manufacturing, castings, forgings, stampings, etc

Have experience and developing & executing commodity strategy and category leadership role (e.g. responsible for multiple businesses within a company, spend over $50M).

Have deep understanding of one or more of the following key commodities: metals, plastics, electronics, motors, pumps or power transmission.

Demonstrate strategic decision making skills regarding business planning processes, make/buy decisions, and similar business related concerns.

Have experience working and developing international suppliers.

Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills across all organizational levels, both internally and within supplier organizations.

Exhibit a high degree of autonomy with the ability to work effectively in a team environment to pull disparate pieces together across the organization and "get things done".

Have the ability to partner with department leaders to identify, create, and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs.

Demonstrate a continuous improvement ethos; ability to identify areas of opportunity and positively influence business decisions.

Have proven ability leading negotiations and supplier contract management.
