Our company has been engaged by a private equity-backed Tier 1 automotive supplier in St. Mary’s, PA to recruit a Plant Manager to oversee 2 facilities. This role is crucial in managing the overall performance of the site, including budget oversight and P&L responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and addressing performance gaps, overseeing all site functions, and implementing innovative processes and technologies to improve operational efficiency. It is essential that all decisions and projects align with the organization’s strategic vision and global standards. Moreover, the role includes establishing consistent operations policies, practices, and security measures, as well as presenting performance reports to senior leadership. The workforce consists of 150+ employees, and the plants generate around $60M in revenue. Compensation can reach up to $185k based on experience, along with bonus and benefits. Relocation is available for the right candidate.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP of Operations to establish, implement, and communicate the site’s Industrial Plan.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and manage P&L responsibilities.
  • Monitor site performance to identify gaps, develop action plans, and implement solutions.
  • Oversee all site functions to ensure achievement of KPIs and deliverables.
  • Recommend and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Ensure alignment of operational decisions and projects with the organization’s business plan and vision.
  • Enforce consistent application of global standards and ways of working.
  • Drive the implementation of operations-related policies, practices, and security measures.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and metrics to senior leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing site operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to delegate effectively.


Pay range and compensation package:

Compensation can reach up to $185k based on experience, along with bonus and benefits. Relocation is available for the right candidate.
