Entry-Level Data Specialist

Proforma is seeking a Data Specialist to join our Business Development Team. The primary role of this position is to support our Business Development Programs to produce sales opportunities for our Franchise Owners. This individual will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Data Specialist Team Lead to compile and process data lists, scrub and cleanse information, and track stats and reporting.


Responsibilities include:

  • Identify new leads through data resources, extract information using a methodical and organized approach, and prepare call lists for appointment setting team
  • Cleanse contact information for accurate email, phone, title, company, and any other pertinent information
  • Scrub data to remove duplicates and conflicts
  • Groom data, apply excel formulas and macros, concatenate data, and perform manipulations to prepare distribution lists for final import
  • Export / import docs using excel and CRM system
  • Assist in monitoring quality of data within the database and scrub any marked as wrong contact or incorrect information
  • Administrative tasks as needed, including but not limited to reporting and special projects


Experience Required:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or min of 3 years database coordination and development
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Formulas, Macros, Pivot Tables)
  • Expertise in working with databases and data tools
  • Experience with Zoominfo and Salesforce are a plus, not required
  • Exposure to the promotional products and print industry and/or business-to-business sales preferred but not required
