Matern Staffing is hiring a Financial Analyst for a leading designer and manufacturer of automated systems in Fredericksburg, VA. You’ll be a trusted, proactive partner among internal staff and departments as you help the business optimize their product mix, allocate resources more efficiently, and improve overall financial performance.

As a Financial Analyst you’ll support the company with gross margin analysis, costing, and inventory accuracy. Accurately and effectively managing budgets, materials, and cost of goods across all integrated financial systems can be tedious, but being part of a team strengthening a global company focused on building and delivering excellence in manufacturing systems makes it all worth it.

This is a direct hire, in-office position.

Salary: $75,000 to $95,000/yr

Benefits:

What You’ll Do:

  • Compile month-end financial reports and projections based on financial data
  • Analyze current and historical financial data, including margin and product line profitability
  • Develop financial models to support organizational decision-making
  • Generate matrix reports to assess financial performance
  • Analyze industry and economic trends to provide actionable recommendations
  • Analyze cost accounting data and develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for cost accounting activities
  • Assess capital expenditures and depreciation
  • Create automated reporting and forecasting tools for efficient data use
  • Provide necessary information for financial audits and manage sales tax systems to ensure compliance

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or business administration and at least 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experienced with SAP and BI software
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail with great follow-through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
  • Enjoys evaluating statistical and financial data for preparing complex reports
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and departments
