You'll play a key role in guiding clients through complex challenges while fostering collaboration and innovation within a culture that values unity, service, and continuous growth.What You'll DoLead by example, actively living out HoganTaylor's core values and service standards in every client and team interactionServe as a trusted advisor by developing expertise in a specialized area while maintaining a solid understanding of broader tax conceptsCollaborate with clients to understand their goals and proactively deliver tax and business solutions that support their successManage and strengthen client relationships, including communication and coordination with complex client engagementsOversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring quality and compliance with minimal supervisionConduct thorough analysis of client needs and represent clients with integrity in matters before the IRSSupervise, coach, and mentor tax seniors, staff, and interns to promote their professional development and ensure accurate, timely workContribute to the growth of your niche or industry focus through practice development activitiesTake initiative to participate in firm and departmental initiatives, enhancing both your team and the broader organizationPromote a sense of ownership and pride in serving both clients and the firmCommunicate clearly and work effectively across teams, creating an environment of trust and collaborationManage project and client budgets with a focus on efficiency and valueStay ahead of changes in tax law and professional standards through firm-sponsored training and self-directed learningEngage in community, professional, and business organizations to expand your network and elevate the professionMaintain expected chargeable time (1,400-1,500 hours annually within a 2,250-hour year) while supporting firm quality standardsDevelop and execute personal business development goals, including a personal marketing plan and client list What You BringA bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or universityCPA certification preferred (Enrolled Agent certification will also be considered)A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a strong foundation in taxStrong technical knowledge paired with research, analytical, and organizational skillsExperience with paperless tax preparation and workflow systemsProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other common business applicationsClear and effective communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to connect across teams and with clientsA dedication to collaborative teamwork, mentorship, and leadershipA proactive mindset and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment Why HoganTaylor?
