DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Specialty Materials Company who looking to expand its team with a Process Automation Controls Engineer. This candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to optimize our manufacturing processes. Your expertise in control systems, instrumentation, and programming will drive efficiency and quality in operations.


In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation solutions for process control systems, leveraging technologies such as PLC, SCADA, and DCS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and translate them into effective automation strategies.
  • Develop PLC programs using languages like ladder logic or structured text to control industrial machinery and processes.
  • Integrate automation systems with existing equipment and infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.
  • Specify, select, and install instrumentation components such as sensors, actuators, and control valves to monitor and regulate process variables.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of automation-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the continued reliability and performance of automation systems.
  • Provide training and support to operations and maintenance teams to ensure proper utilization and upkeep of automation systems.


The Process Automation Controls Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • 5 years of engineering expereince in manufacturing setting
  • Ability to balance multiple projects
