Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and highly organized Warehouse Team Lead & Manager to oversee our two-person warehouse team. This person will manage the daily operations of the warehouse, assign tasks, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in picking, packing, shipping, and receiving products while also advancing warehouse technology and streamlining operations.

The Warehouse Team Lead & Manager will also be responsible for quality control (QC), addressing customer complaints related to warehouse inventory, and collaborating with the quality and product management teams to resolve issues. This position requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong collaboration skills. Additionally, we seek someone who will be a great culture fit and contribute positively to our team dynamics.


Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations Management:

  • Lead and manage the warehouse team, assigning daily tasks and tracking progress.
  • Ensure the team follows warehouse processes for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse upkeep.
  • Be actively involved in the warehouse’s hands-on work, including pick, pack, and shipping tasks.

Inventory Management & Accuracy:

  • Ensure inventory levels are accurately maintained by performing regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, implementing best practices for space utilization and safety.

Receiving & QC:

  • Manage the receiving of products, ensuring all items are received accurately and timely.
  • Perform quality control checks on products as they arrive and document any issues.
  • Address customer complaints related to product quality by performing quality tests on the specific lot numbers in question.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Product Manager to resolve quality issues effectively and efficiently.

Warehouse Technology Improvement:

  • Implement and improve technology solutions in the warehouse, such as barcode scanning, inventory tracking, shipping/receiving systems, and automation.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining operations and driving warehouse efficiency through technology.

Collaboration & Problem Solving:

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager, Quality Manager, and Product Manager to address and resolve any operational challenges or quality concerns.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive, collaborative, and productive warehouse environment.
  • Be a key player in maintaining a positive company culture and promoting teamwork.

Project Management & Implementation:

  • Lead and manage warehouse-related projects, such as process improvements, new system implementations, and layout changes.
  • Ensure that all assigned projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with company goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and successful implementation.
  • Track project progress, troubleshoot issues, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Warehouse Team Lead/Manager will pitch in to support broader company priorities, even if these tasks are related to other functions.

Establishing and Tracking Smart Goals & KPIs:

  • Develop, establish, and track specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for the warehouse team.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall team performance.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related field (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, including team leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with inventory management systems, warehouse software, and barcode technology.
  • Experience with quality control processes in a warehouse or logistics setting.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to assess situations, identify issues, and implement solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain warehouse organization and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Ability to lead by example, work alongside the team, and manage both daily tasks and high-level operations.
  • Technology-Driven: Experience with warehouse technology (e.g., barcode systems, automated shipping/receiving systems), with a drive to streamline and optimize processes.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory management and quality control.
  • Customer-Focused: Ability to address customer complaints professionally and resolve product quality issues promptly.
