Job Summary

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the receiving, staging, and inventory control processes to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the receiving and staging process by ensuring accurate and timely receipt of inventory, including inspecting and verifying product quality and quantity.
  • Conduct physical counts and reconcile inventory levels with data storage systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to AIB and NFS standards, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Support workloads and productivity by ensuring timely completion of receiving and put-away tasks, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Record and document all relevant inventory transactions, discrepancies, and issues, and report to AP, Purchasing, and Operations Management as necessary.
  • Monitor product levels and rotation, and assist with stock management and location.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed, and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
  • Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with inventory control and logistics processes, with a focus on receiving and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyze and report on data to management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong communication and organization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads, and to make decisions and problem-solve in an ever-changing environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Outlook and MS Excel, and ability to learn new software as needed.
