Responsibilities:

  • Owns the overall profitability and sales growth of the Baton Rouge West region, which includes Baton Rouge, Thibodaux, Houma, Lafayette, Alexandria and Lake Charles
  • Works with the VP of Sales to create and exceed annual sales targets
  • Leads, manages and develops a team of sales representatives who are directly responsible for profitable sales growth, managing credit terms and balances, anticipating customer needs and providing solutions to problems through our CRM system
  • Generates leads and makes cold calls on prospective customers, growing new territories and expanding sales reach
  • Communicates and builds strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Negotiates deals and contracts for multi-unit opportunities
  • Attends networking meetings and industry events in all territories
  • Arranges business meetings with prospective customers and holds business reviews with top customers
  • Keeps up with practical working knowledge of the company's complete product line
  • Researches the territory to identify opportunities and risks
  • Monitors and understands the competition's presence in the market and develops competitive strategies to gain market share


Requirements:

  • Degree in Business and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and sales management
  • Food service industry experience a plus
  • Exceptional presentation skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach and lead others by creating a motivational environment and maximizing opportunities for growth
  • Customer service orientation and empathy
  • Critical thinker with analytical skills and forecasting ability
  • Embraces new technology and proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and no DUI convictions within the past three years
  • Able to work a flexible schedule when needed, including Saturday and Sunday
