Looking for a Senior HR Generalist to work for an amazing client in the Ventura area. Work Monday-Friday (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote). Hours are 8 am-5 pm

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute business process transactions, including HRIS (Workday) transactions, to meet global and regional business needs.
  • Provide guidance and resolution of day-to-day inquiries through the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, escalating matters to Centers of Excellence as needed.
  • Meet the changing needs of the business and ensure high-quality service delivery within defined SLAs.
  • Maintain knowledge of immigration and compliance requirements in regional HR legislation and employment laws.
  • Partner with global teams to support and facilitate mobility, visa needs, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Actively participate in the creation, documentation, and process improvement with a focus on automation.
  • Analyze shared services metrics/KPIs and reporting adherence to recommend and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Consult with key stakeholders and Centers of Excellence to understand business needs, undertake program implementations, and support process improvements.
  • Deploy initiatives in the local business and contribute to the design of local and global HR initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding of employees in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Support payroll administration and reporting for the region.
  • Undertake other projects as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Well-versed in HR business processes with strong knowledge of HR compliance, legislation, and employment laws.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role, with at least 3 years of experience working directly with employees and managers in a global shared services model.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and independently take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, sharing responsibility for results and providing and accepting feedback.
  • Effective in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive, with ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Experience working with HR databases such as Workday.
  • Experience understanding and developing KPIs and SLAs to enhance global and regional service delivery.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualification: Degree (preferably in HR) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Jira & Confluence preferred.
