Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced product owner with a strong background in Java, Mainframe, and Unix technologies and basic knowledge of the card domain. The ideal candidate will collaborate with users and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements. This role involves defining the product vision, managing the product backlog, and overseeing all stages of product creation, from design and development to deployment and testing. The product owner will also monitor and evaluate product progress, participate in Scrum meetings, and ensure team alignment and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with users and stakeholders.
Understand and translate user and stakeholder needs into product requirements.
Define the vision for the team’s product.
Product Roadmap and Backlog Management:
Create a product roadmap based on the defined vision.
Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on changing requirements.
Product Development Oversight:
Oversee all stages of product creation, including design, development, deployment, and testing (both functional and application).
Develop user stories and product features based on product design requisites.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
Scrum and Sprint Participation:
Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints to track product development progress.
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous improvement.
Metrics and continuous improvement:
Maintain team metrics and continuously review OKRs (objectives and key results) and KPIs (key performance indicators).
Prioritize the product backlog to achieve OKRs and keep it up-to-date.
Establish KPIs and OKRs for the product team and share monthly status progress with senior leadership.
Change and Incident Management:
Work on the change management process for any process or infrastructure changes.
Create process mapping in Blue Work and review it with the Risk and Compliance team.
Handle customer-impacting events through the incident management cycle (EPROB).
Analytics and Monitoring:
Partner with the analytics team to develop end-to-end monitoring for processes owned by the team.
Required Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with Java, Mainframe, and Unix technologies.
Basic knowledge of the card domain.
Experience as a product owner, managing product roadmaps and backlogs, and overseeing all stages of product creation.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience facilitating Scrum meetings and product sprints.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with change management and incident management processes.
Ability to develop user stories and product features based on product design requirements.
a proven track record of monitoring and evaluating product progress and ensuring team alignment and continuous improvement.
Experience establishing and maintaining KPIs and OKRs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in system analysis, product management, or a related role.
Proven ability to manage product development processes and lead cross-functional teams.
