QA Technician - Day Shift

Location-Saint Clair, MO 63077, USA

Starting Pay: $22.50/hr

Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm Tuesday through Friday


Overview:

The QA Lab Technician position is responsible for aiding in the development/refining of products based on customer direction and regulatory changes, keeping within economic restrictions. Performs material analysis in accordance with specified procedures. This position also generates Quality Assurance or Quality Control specifications for each production item. The PDC also seeks out new sources of raw materials and evaluates alternatives, as well as completing testing of raw materials. This also includes assisting with "out of spec" raw materials and batches.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sample and test incoming raw chemicals based upon established procedures.
  • Test finished production batches and/or other in process material based upon established procedures.
  • Evaluate and record results from static storage testing.
  • Adhere to safe handling practices when working with hazardous materials.


Qualifications:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail,
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to read/understand gauges and other measuring devices,
  • Ability to operate a computer,
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external customers,
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds,
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours per day.


Education:

  • Associate's degree in a scientific discipline preferred but not required.

  • Bonus incentive programs: monthly attendance bonuses as well as quarterly performance bonuses. (quarterly bonus is Operations Incentive Program, and it is based on the performance across the entire plant. The % is based on performance numbers but it could be a max of 3% of the gross quarterly employee earnings)
