We are working with an industry-leading end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing company that has engaged us on a search for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team. With a niche in the food service and hospitality industry, this company has grown its footprint significantly over the last few years through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. The M&A activity and additional investments have created a lot of opportunities for the IT department, specifically this Infrastructure team. This Infrastructure Engineer will join a highly competent team to execute key initiatives around virtualization, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and data center technologies, as well as some networking/hardware work. The company has close to 20 locations and two main data centers along with their Azure cloud presence.

This is a unique opportunity to join a rock-star team in a fast-paced, challenging environment where you're constantly learning and growing. This is a full-time, Direct-Hire position that will work on-site on a hybrid basis out of their location in Exton, PA.


The Role You'll Play

As the Infrastructure Engineer, you'll wear many hats. You'll be responsible for managing the hardware, networking, and software layers of the IT environment, ensuring that the entire infrastructure system meets business needs, easily scales up, adapts to new features, utilizes the latest technologies, tools, and services, and aligns with the company’s policies and goals.

  • Support and maintain a global infrastructure of 16 sites, including two data centers (Production / DR), along with their Azure cloud presence.
  • Participate in the design, development, strategy, and support for the following technologies:
  • Active Directory – ADUC, Site and Services, DHCP, DNS, Domains and Trusts, Replication Topology.
  • VMware – vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, vMotion, and storage vMotion. Clusters with HA and DRS. Enterprise Plus and Standard version.
  • Extreme Networks – Data Center and office LANs. Wireless Access networks, vLAN separation, and Cloud IQ.
  • Azure – Support the tenant, O365, cloud deployments, and SSO. Familiarity with the Admin Centers for Teams, 365, SharePoint, Security, Entra, Endpoint Manager, Defender, Enterprise Applications, and ATP.
  • SD-WAN – Works closely with their SASE partner, utilizing their NOC for next-generation firewalls, IDS, IPS, NDR. Monitoring, detection, and remediation of potential threats. A focus on security with their SOC managing extended detection and response.
  • Help to build and support business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
  • Provide technical support and leadership for business requirements.
  • Consult with business leaders and IT leadership to align IT portfolio to sustain company growth initiatives.
  • Develop procedures and automated solutions to support the business.


Background Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a solid working knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment and be able to manage demanding tasks while contributing to the ongoing development of the environment and team.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent formal training in computer hardware, software, and networking
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network, server, virtualization, cloud, and datacenter technology
  • Expert high-level knowledge of all aspects of IT Infrastructure including network, server, storage, datacenter, cloud, and cybersecurity
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in backup and restore procedures (e.g., Veeam), disaster recovery technologies and playbooks (e.g., Zerto), IP Address Management (IPAM), system monitoring and notifications, patch management, lifecycle management, incident response planning, and out-of-band management (e.g., iLO, iDRAC, UPS, PDU)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business terminology
  • Service-oriented mindset with excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to share knowledge and educate colleagues within the company
  • Ability to work under general supervision, handle complex issues independently, and refer more demanding issues to senior-level engineers
  • Leadership potential, with the capacity to coach and mentor others
  • Technical certifications are a plus but not required
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions would be very nice to have.
