Salary: $160,000 + Bonus
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Company Overview:
Our client is a leading enterprise fintech company focused on developing innovative financial solutions. We are embarking on a greenfield project to develop a new product, and we are looking for a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
The Staff Engineer Fullstack (React & Node) will play a pivotal role in leading the software engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecture design, software development, and technical leadership, particularly in a cloud environment with Azure being preferred. This role involves a balanced mix of hands-on development, architectural design, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership (60%)
- Lead complex technical projects and provide guidance on best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
- Oversee daily Scrum meetings and ensure adherence to Agile software development practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
- Monitor and improve team performance, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
Architecture Design (20%)
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable and robust full-stack solutions using React and Node.js.
- Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the new product.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Software Development (20%)
- Design, develop, and optimize high-quality, scalable software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Develop new features and functionalities for the greenfield project.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Fullstack Engineer with expertise in React and Node.js.
- Strong experience in designing and developing applications in a cloud environment, with a preference for Azure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a software engineering team.
- Proficiency in Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
