Collaboration is key, as we work closely with specialized teams in Perception, Controls, Firmware, Hardware, and Manufacturing to tackle some of the most challenging issues faced by our clients.

We seek talented software engineers, roboticists, and developers proficient in front-end and mobile technologies who are eager to build a robust robotics platform that can be monitored and controlled in real-time through various interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish the Systems Engineering vision for ALTIUS to guide requirements and verification methodologies.
  • Create documentation for government Technical Assistance programs that pertain to asset certifications.
  • Lead the decomposition of requirements in collaboration with Robotics teams.
  • Independently manage broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, program offices, and external corporate partners to ensure successful outcomes across multiple programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular testing events involving various software and hardware levels, from complete software simulations to hardware-in-the-loop demonstrations.
  • Formulate a strategy to adhere to relevant industry standards such as DO 178C, MIL-STD-882 E, and NATO UAV.
  • Exhibit strong ownership of all tasks, becoming a trusted collaborator to Anduril's robotics engineers.
  • Translate product requirements into systems engineering specifications.
  • Work directly with robotics engineers to derive software requirements from system specifications.
  • Facilitate, unblock, and expedite cross-team projects that involve multiple functional teams and initiatives.
  • Identify and address systemic execution challenges within the team or group that necessitate broader initiatives for resolution.
  • Collaborate with product leads to define, staff, and deliver capabilities that meet company objectives.
  • Recognize, resolve, and escalate critical inter-team dependencies.
  • Engage closely with partner teams, including hardware, product, and testing operations as required.
  • Comprehend technical implementations at the architectural level and suggest technical alternatives when necessary; pose questions that clarify priorities.

Core Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in safety-critical industries, particularly with standards for safety-critical software development, software safety fault/hazard analysis, and requirements-driven software verification and validation strategies.
  • Proven ability to apply engineering standards within engineering processes or requirements.
  • Experience in drafting testable system-level and software-level requirements.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as JAMA, Polarion, etc.
  • Experience in assessing software design and conducting code reviews for C++ applications.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • U.S. Person status is required for access to export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of contemporary software development practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and release processes.
  • Experience in developing software programs from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in writing Bash and Python scripts for task automation in an embedded Linux environment.
  • Ability to operate within organizations with minimal structure and direction.
  • Experience in implementing potentially disruptive organizational process changes.
  • Capability to create communication plans for diverse stakeholder levels.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, utilizing data and metrics to support assumptions and drive decisions.
