Join Brooksource in an exciting opportunity to become a Staff Software Engineer for our Fortune 30 client within the Retail/Building Materials industry. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers and contribute to hands-on development of a customer facing POS, ensuring that it's PCI compliant. Our client is seeking a Java expert who can delve into payment systems, understand how the software interacts with hardware, and thrives in a people management environment.

Requirements

  • At least a minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience developing applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with developing Payment systems - credit cards, pin pads and cloud environments.
  • Experience developing legacy device applications, working with pin pads, or retail-development experience.
  • Proficient in test-driven development and effective unit test creation.
  • Proficient in successful application of design patterns.
  • Experience managing/leading a team of junior developers.
