The Real Estate Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to attorneys in all stages of real estate transactions, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, coordinating closings, and communicating with clients and relevant parties.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and revise legal documents related to real estate transactions, including contracts, deeds, leases, mortgages, and closing documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of legal documents according to client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct research on property titles, zoning regulations, environmental issues, and other relevant matters.
  • Assist in due diligence processes by gathering and analyzing information on properties involved in transactions.
  • Coordinate and schedule closings, including arranging for necessary documents, funds, and parties to be present.
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
  • Act as a liaison between attorneys and clients, providing updates on case progress, answering queries, and addressing concerns.
  • Assist clients in understanding legal documents and procedures related to their real estate matters.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation related to real estate transactions.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and copying documents as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all real estate transactions.
  • Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations that may impact transactions.


Qualifications:

  • Certification as a paralegal/legal assistant is a plus
  • Proven 3+ years of experience working as a real estate paralegal or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, contracts, and transaction processes.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with real estate closing software is a plus.
