Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Description: Our firm is seeking a paralegal with at least 3+ years of oil and gas experience in a law firm setting (or as a landman) to join our team. Experience with E-Discovery, matter management, document management, Federal Civil Courts, and both Oklahoma and Texas Civil Courts. We are specifically looking for a technologically savvy candidate. This position is based in our Oklahoma City office. While this position is based in our Oklahoma City office, the position will include handling cases throughout the State of Oklahoma and Texas. As a result, some travel may be expected. Additional Information: The Rudnicki Firm is a fast-paced, growth-oriented law firm headquartered in Oklahoma City. Our attorneys have decades of combined litigation experience, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. The firm specializes in commercial litigation and personal injury defense. Our attorneys have worked in both big firms and regional firms throughout their careers. The Rudnicki Firm focuses on providing premier-level legal services to its clients while maintaining its integrity; the firm provides an environment in which it is possible for its employees to prioritize and maintain a healthy work-life balance. The right Paralegal must have:
\tExpertise in Microsoft Excel
\tAdditional expertise in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, & Adobe Acrobat required.
\tExperience in E-Discovery, Federal Civil Courts and Texas Civil Court procedure.
Additionally, the right Paralegal will be expected to:
\tPrepare and file legal documents in both state and federal courts, including e- filings.
\tPrepare trial and hearing documents in both state and federal courts.
\tDocument control and data management in production and discovery.
\tAssist attorneys in legal research and cite-checking, drafting/finalizing letters, pleadings, etc.
\tCase Management, including managing the case calendar under attorney supervision and updating clients pursuant to client guidelines.
\tCommunicate with courts, couriers and litigation support vendors.
\tRecord billing and expense reporting for matters.
\tCommunicate and work well with other members of The Rudnicki Firm team.
