Description

The Administrative Assistant for Communications, Development, and Referral Relations is integral to the Center's efforts to promote our services to prospective patients and referrers as well as raise awareness of Riggs' extensive research, education, and advocacy efforts. Duties include managing and maintaining the information and systems that form the basis of the communications, fundraising and referral relations databases; creating and updating metrics dashboards; and coordinating/overseeing/carrying out administrative activities for multiple departments.

This role will also support organizational events and in-house conferences related to communications, development, and external relations.

This position reports to the Director of Communications and will liaise with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and the Director of Referral Relations, providing administrative support as needed.

This position requires superb attention to detail and the ability to maintain exceptional accuracy when working with data and files.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in marketing, communications, or another related field.
  • 1-3 years direct experience providing administrative support in public relations, marketing and communications, or fundraising field.
  • Comfortable with database programs and marketing-related software including Office 365 Suite, Salesforce, Google dashboards, Constant Contact/Pardot, to name a few.
  • Strong and accurate data entry abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detailed-oriented.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collectively, with other members of the team.
