Data Center Facilities Engineer

As a key member of Fidelity s Data Center Operations team, you will coordinate, lead, and finish critical maintenance activities and be directly responsible for the Uptime of the facility or campus
Working with the Engineering Manager, you ll be self-performing or coordinating vendor-performed maintenance on critical equipment serving data centers and offices. You ll also coordinate or perform reactive maintenance, solving issues, repairs in response to work orders.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- High School diploma, GED, trade school or equivalent required
- 3+ years of related facilities experience
- 2+ years of experience in a mission critical environment a plus
- Experience with Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Controls systems.
- Licensed HVAC, pipefitter, plumbing credentials, or EPA certification.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction documents and O&M manuals.
- Proven ability to install, repair and maintain electrical circuits and related loads in compliance with the National Electrical Code and generally accepted industry practices.
- Ability to develop and maintain procedures such as SOP, MOP etc.
- The ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

- Proven ability to build a strong, positive culture collaborating with a team of 8-12 professionals
- Continuously set the standard in terms of engineering excellence, while facilitating outstanding performance, workplace maintenance excellence and team coherence.
- Proficient in PC applications specifically, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, CMMS and facility BMS systems.
- Highly organized and diligent in balancing maintenance priorities and procedures.
- Strong contributor with a collaborative work style.
Your Responsibilities
- Comprehensive understanding of HVAC and Mechanical industry standards, protocols, installations, and best trade practices, along with heating and cooling, server, database, and network infrastructure knowledge, in large-scale, enterprise Data Center facility.
- Performs all preventive and remedial maintenance work on building Mechanical systems to assure critical cooling, heating, and humidification requirements are met with minimal adverse business impact.
- Supervise multiple building systems, correcting deficient performance through BMS adjustments, on-site remedial maintenance and effective emergency response actions when required.
- Assist vendors/contractors performing remedial repair activities.
- Demonstrates the ability to work with and provide assistance to the engineering staff.
- Applies tools, processes, procedures, and notifies superiors as appropriate to ensure the consistent flow of information and activities.
- Complete daily log entries / update engineering staff via email.
- Assist with all department projects, plans and improvements.
- Support Fidelity s ISO-14001 Environmental Management System, ISO-27001 Information Security Management and SSAE-16/18 regulatory reporting requirements
- Demonstrates ability to switch to standby generators and bypass UPS systems when an electrical alarm or failure occurs, consistent with procedures, communicating all actions via accurate communication channels
- Finishing the critical maintenance on time and with attention to detail.
Working hours: 12 hour daytime shifts: 4 days on and 3 days off alternating weeks of 3 days on and 4 days off.
