Job Description:

We are seeking an analytical team player who will own the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. You will also work cross-functionally with a high-performing team of subject matter experts to complete product roadmaps and discover new opportunities. You are a highly skilled, technically proficient Product Manager who is knowledgeable about securities trade execution, clearing, and custody services. You have extensive experience in the securities or broker-dealer industry, preferably within a correspondent clearing broker-dealer environment. They should possess a deep understanding of the trade lifecycle, post-trade settlement of equity and options trades, and the needs of investment advisors, introducing broker-dealers, and prime brokerage clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to launch, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategy.
  • Customer Feedback and Market Research: Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and use market research to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of SQL and Jira to manage product development processes efficiently. Leverage these tools for tracking project progress, managing backlogs, and facilitating team collaboration.
  • API Management: Lead the design and implementation of API-first strategies for trading and back-office clearing platforms, ensuring seamless integration with client systems and improving the overall product offering.
  • Trade Lifecycle and Post-Trade Settlement: Ensure products meet the needs related to trade lifecycle management, including post-trade settlement of equity and options trades, securities lending and borrowing, and trade execution.
  • Client-Centric Development: Address the specific needs of investment advisors, introducing broker-dealers, and prime brokerage clients in product development, ensuring that solutions are tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams including engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to develop and refine products. Lead discussions on product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market plans.
  • Agile Methodology: Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage the product development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. Drive Agile best practices within the team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about securities regulations and ensure that all products comply with relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor competitor offerings and market trends to maintain a competitive edge and position the company’s products effectively.
  • Product Innovation: Drive innovation in product offerings, particularly in areas such as trade execution, post-trade processing, securities lending, and borrowing.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of product management experience within the securities industry, with a focus on correspondent clearing, trade lifecycle, and post-trade settlement processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills with experience in SQL, Jira, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with API-first trading and back-office clearing platforms.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the securities regulatory framework, with experience ensuring product compliance.
  • Client Focus: Proven ability to meet the needs of institutional clients, particularly investment advisors, introducing broker-dealers, and prime brokerage clients.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions and lead conversations with decision-makers effectively.
  • Agile/Scrum Expertise: Demonstrated experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks to drive product development and delivery.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions that align with business priorities and drive growth.
  • Language Ability: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Spanish is desired.


Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in product management or Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
