Job Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated and dynamic Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tube manufacturing facility. This role requires an experienced leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-velocity production environment. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing process. This individual will also manage the coordination between production and warehouse operations, ensuring seamless logistics and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of production supervisors, operators, and warehouse staff.
    • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Promote a collaborative environment to achieve production targets.
  • Production Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines.
    • Quickly adapt production schedules as needed in response to changing demands or operational challenges.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure that all products meet SWCORP’s high standards for quality and consistency.
    • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any defects or non-conformities in the production process.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all employees adhere to workplace safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory & Resource Management:
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and components are available for production.
    • Coordinate with the supply chain, procurement, and warehouse teams to manage inventory and reduce lead times.
    • Monitor and control production costs to meet budgetary targets.
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage, material handling, and logistics.
    • Ensure efficient coordination between production and warehouse operations to meet delivery schedules.
    • Implement best practices in warehouse management to support production goals.
  • Computer Literacy:
    • Utilize production management software and ERP systems to monitor and control production activities.
    • Generate and analyze reports on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities using computer-based systems.
  • Self-Motivation & Fast-Paced Environment:
    • Exhibit a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Thrive in a dynamic setting where quick decision-making and adaptability are key.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities and ensure documentation is up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment, with significant experience in warehouse management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and meeting production targets.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software, ERP systems, and other relevant computer applications.
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in tube manufacturing or a similar industry is highly desirable.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
