Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Employee Experience Intern to join our Human Capital team. This role will assist with activities supporting the MMx and Human Capital teams and a range of projects related to the growth and development of our Memory Makers across our entire company.


You will spend time learning multiple areas of the Human Capital Department including Recognition, Engagement, Culture and Experience, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Learning and Development, and Administration. This internship will teach you the ins and outs of creating and maintaining an exceptional employee experience.


A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

  • Work closely with the MMx Team to support initiatives that provide an exceptional employee experience.
  • Support our employee gifting programs, ensuring premier and timely communication, partnership, and coordination.
  • Collaborate on a variety of employee recognition, celebration, and support programs.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of our Day One Program and Million Dollar Memory Maker programs.
  • Partner in preparing and executing experience elevating events and functions
  • Collaborate with the MMx team to write and design various company-wide internal communications
  • Support administrative needs of the Human Capital team as needed
  • Assist in the preparation for Human Capital quarterly all-hands meetings
  • Use good judgement when related to handling confidential information


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Loves learning and has a passion for personal growth and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, problem solver, who is flexible and adaptive to change
  • Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of PowerPoint & Excel
  • Experience using Canva and/or Beautiful.AI is preferred
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management


WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

  • Physical requirements such as repetitive bending, lifting, and squatting. Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Able to drive to travel to company locations as necessary
  • Be able to routinely lift 15 lbs. alone, or team lift heavier pieces
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and/or electronically
  • Monday through Friday work schedule
  • Will report to Fort Mill, SC corporate office
