Summary:

In this role, you will be in direct communication with key Vizient business leaders and be the liaison with the technical team to deliver requested software enhancements. Delivering valuable solutions and negotiating with the business for best outcomes. You will have a variety of responsibilities from project planning to developing product roadmaps to participating in technical discussions, to leading steering committee meetings on overall product application status.You will implement a Contract Management System and Contracts AI. You will collaborate with 28 stakeholders across the organization who have identified critical needs for an enterprise solution.The Contracts AI portion of this implementation will provide an exciting opportunity to learn about AI and see it work across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of business goals and processes to inform product priorities, capabilities, and improvement recommendations. Understand business and end-user needs; identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs.

  • Monitor business, market, and technology trends to inform product strategy and proactively propose new solutions.

  • Lead product strategy, planning, and life cycle management efforts.

  • Establish product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve business outcomes.

  • Monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion value-based product improvements. This includes analyzing data, conducting A/B testing, and implementing iterative changes to enhance product performance and user satisfaction.

  • Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders and customers to shape the product strategy and surface and prioritize needs.

  • Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.

  • Act as the voice of the customer to guide all stages of software development, including user story development, sprint planning, and prioritization of the product backlog.

  • Guide the product engineering team to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.g., agile methods) and best practices (e.g., reusability).

  • Identify and resolve blockers to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, story refinements, and team retrospectives; ensure the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps.

  • Prioritize and maintain the product backlog.

  • Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done.

  • Assist the team on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests.

  • Ensure the product delivers an exceptional user experience. Collaborate with UX/UI designers. This includes conducting user research, usability testing, and providing design feedback to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

  • Analyze feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and understand product needs.

  • Lead product launch process, coordinating with business functional teams to enable successful product adoption. This involves creating product messaging, training internal teams, and monitoring product performance and customer feedback post-launch.

  • Increase adoption and consumption of product capabilities.

  • Ensure alignment and adherence to corporate, financial and IT standards (e.g., architecture, compliance, security).

  • Establish and tracks all costs associated with products.

  • Collaborate with software engineering leaders and service line leaders to establish team composition based on product lifecycle.

  • Create project management plans as appropriate for the stage in the product lifecycle (e.g., creation of MVP).

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 of more relevant years of experience is required. Expertise in product business domain (e.g., IT, finance, accounting, human resources) is preferred.

  • Experience managing a large program, and a deep understanding of process improvements and efficiencies.

  • Ability to partner with the business to creative solve their needs.

  • Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs.

  • Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies.

  • Demonstrated facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.

  • Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.

  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $168,800.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
