We are a large, well-known national personal injury/mass torts litigation law firm seeking a highly motivated and hard-working individual to fill the position of Managing Attorney of the firm’s Intake Department. This position involves managing, training and overseeing our dedicated team of intake specialists and investigators.


The ideal candidate will have experience working with personal injury clients, a commitment to providing exceptional client service, and an eye for detail. The candidate will oversee a team of intake personnel and will, at times, have direct phone and in person contact with prospective clients. The candidate will also have direct contact with attorneys referring matters to our firm as well as attorneys from other firms that we refer matters to.


The candidate must extremely personable, empathetic and organized. The candidate must be experienced in personal injury and/or mass tort litigation.


The candidate should also be comfortable with a high level of technology and have the vision of how to improve the technology being used to enhance the processes of the firm.


Other Responsibilities:


  • Establish and administer client assessments, goals and metrics to drive client satisfaction, retention and client referrals
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
  • Ensure details regarding dates, facts, the identity of the circumstances or product in issue and injuries/damages to determine viability of potential cases are obtained during initial calls
  • Confirm all information is entered into our case management system, including actions to be taken with respect to accepting or rejecting cases
  • Ensure intake specialists are properly trained so potential cases from out of the area are retained electronically
  • Meet with new clients who come to the office to complete the intake process
  • Supervise investigators who are meeting with our clients
  • Possess strong computer (case management applications, Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and Internet skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multitask in a fast-paced environment
