The individual selected for this position will serve as an attorney-advisor in the SEC's Office of Equal Employment Opportunity.

They will manage assigned caseload, provide legal advice and guidance throughout all phases of the EEO compliance process, and apply federal sector EEO laws, policies, and directives.


The individual selected will perform the following duties:
Assess complaints of discrimination in accordance with Title 29 C.F.R. Part 1614, federal sector directives, and applicable federal law, and draft written procedural determinations which may include acceptance, dismissal, or final agency action;
Conduct confidential and sensitive EEO investigations and prepare Reports of Investigation;
Research and write Final Agency Decisions;
Develop and present written guidance, oral briefings, and trainings on significant EEO Compliance issues;
Research complex and novel EEO legal issues while providing technical guidance and developing procedures, guidance material, training content, and policy directives;
Apply federal sector EEO laws and adhere to U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regulations and directives, those of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, and other federal oversight bodies while providing legal advice and guidance to support OEEO's neutral, fair, and independent case intake and resolution program; and
Engage with colleagues within a multi-disciplinary team to advance agency-wide EEO priorities.
