JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) position being offered is a dynamic, important and valued role on our project teams. The APM will have the responsibility to process critical information such as Submittals, RFIs, Pay Applications and much more. Construction projects include Multi-Family Housing, Senior Housing, Education, and others. Projects are up to $60 million in value. Project locations are in Eastern MA, Southern NH and Eastern CT.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 In conjunction with the Project Manager, administer the efforts of Project Teams in strict accordance with the Platinum Builders fundamental requirements, contract documents, company policies,

Owner/Contractor contract and construction schedule.

 Assist Project Manager to manage, develop, maintain and oversee all functions of assigned projects at the pre-construction, construction and post-construction phases. Such functions include:

  • Safety
  • Quality
  • Project schedule
  • Construction planning
  • Submittals and RFIs
  • Cost control procedures
  • Total contract administration
  • Change order/claim administration
  • Requisition procedures and collection
  • Subcontractor/supplier coordination
  • Close out

 Attend field meetings (when required).

 Create and maintain a TEAM relationship with the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager, Platinum’s supervision, Platinum’s field forces, subcontractors, suppliers, other prime contractors and other involved in the construction process.

 Coordinate with Superintendent on maximizing labor and equipment productivity.

 Prepare and distribute company project update reports for Owner’s use and reference.

 Assist with preparation of project planning including the three-week schedule, its distribution to foremen and the achievement of daily crew production goals.

 Coordinate cooperate and assist subcontractors, suppliers and other prime trades. Maintain a good working relationship with all subcontract Trades.
