Work hours in-office are 7am - 4pm.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Management and Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • ROI Analysis
  • Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.

2. Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess any changes necessary.

3. Team Leadership and Development

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Delegate tasks and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

4. Strategic Planning and Analysis

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in long-term financial planning and strategy sessions with senior management.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of new business ventures and growth opportunities.

5. Operational Efficiency

  • Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial analysis.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline operations.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

6. Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Oversee the preparation of cash flow forecasts and report variances to management.

7. Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is maintained and evaluate risk management strategies.

8.Innovation

  • Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades for enhanced efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Certifications: MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting, coupled with solid knowledge of GAAP is required. CPA Certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience is required with a focus on luxury consumer goods being a plus.
  • Leadership: Over 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire a team is required.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, and advanced Excel skills required.
  • Industry Insight: Previous experience in cosmetics and luxury consumer goods is essential.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and manage multiple software platforms; experience with TriNet is a plus.
  • Integrity: Uphold the highest level of integrity and trustworthiness in all financial transactions.

  • Analytical Thinking with Respect to Financial Reporting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to perform full cycle accounting, month end close and bank & ledger reconciliations.

  • Independence: Self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
