IP Docket Coordinator

Beacon Hill Legal is looking for an experienced IP Docketing professional to join the Detroit, Ann Arbor, or Lansing office of a well renowned full service business law firm. The Docketing Coordinator will work closely with the firm's IP attorneys and paralegals with patent and trademark prosecution docketing. This role has a HYBRID schedule, and the working hours are 8:30 - 4:30pm. Duties include but aren't limited to:

  • Reviewing and processing incoming prosecution related correspondence for US, PCT and foreign filings;
  • Creating and updating matter records for patent and trademark matters;
  • Communicating with attorneys and paralegals and escalating docketing actions as needed;
  • Preparing routine and specific docketing reports;
  • De-docketing items as needed;
  • And more

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of patent and/or trademark docketing experience;
  • Knowledge of USPTO, PCT, and international procedural rules;
  • Experience with Anaqua software is ideal but not required.
