JOB DESCRIPTION:


Our client is a reputable CPA firm with offices in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach, they are looking for a Manager of Tax Services. This Tax Manager will manage the delivery of a full range of international tax services and advise U.S. and foreign high net worth individuals and private clients.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identifies client issues and conflicts: proactively communicate solution options to client and team.
  • Plans and reviews the tax process and the procedures to be performed to include:
  • Budgeting and staffing.
  • Monitoring engagement process and actual time incurred vs. budget.
  • Timely billing including management of identified out-of-scope activity and communication to client.
  • Timely collection of A/R.
  • Manages client relationships/expectations in accordance with the project.
  • Ensures that clients comply with all applicable authorities, while at the same time minimizing their tax and reporting burdens.
  • Monitoring engagement process and actual time incurred vs. budget.
  • Conducts top-level review of Tax Returns and resolves all tax issues with the client.
  • Provides advice to clients in a timely manner.
  • Timely billing including management of identified out-of-scope activity and communication to the client.
  • Identifies when research is needed; clearly and concisely frames issues to be researched; and clearly and concisely reports the analysis.
  • Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients’ current and future taxes.
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation, e.g., individual, corporate, property, sales, corporate, pass-through, state, local, and international.
  • Assists to organize and conduct effective internal CPE training sessions.
  • Introduces and develops new or improved ideas to improve the position of clients, the Firm, or Firm personnel, e.g., by reducing taxes or expenses or providing non-tax benefits.
  • Reviews studies of tax implications and offers clients alternative courses of action.
  • Identifies and leverages lessons learned on prior projects and offers input on how to improve processes and methods.
  • Supervises associates and senior associates on all projects.
  • Review work prepared by associates and senior associates and provide review comments.
  • Trains Associates and Seniors on how to use all current software tools.
  • Schedules and manages the workload of associates and senior associates.
  • Provides verbal and written performance feedback to associates and senior associates.
  • Other duties as required.


WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA, master’s in taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD.
  • Eight to Ten years of prior experience in corporate tax, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individual clients required.
  • Experience in International, Estate, and Gift Tax preferred
  • Prior experience supervising and training tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, required.
  • Preferably at least three (3) years’ experiences focused on international taxation.


License/Certifications:

  • CPA certification or EA required.
