What is the position?

The Designer will be responsible for delivering designs and bills of materials for an oil & gas company.


What will you do?

As a Designer, you will:

  • Use CAD to create and revise electrical, mechanical, or structural designs for facilities based on engineer requirements.
  • Monitor multiple drafting/design projects in an efficient and timely manner, using both 2D and 3D applications.
  • Deliver bills of materials for various designs.
  • Read and interpret documents such as drawings and project specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy of drawings regarding regulatory and safety compliance, reviewing drawings of other design team members.


What are the requirements?

  • Associate's Degree or trade school completion in design/drafting, CAD, or related field, OR Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • 2+ years drafting experience
  • AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and PDM software experience
  • MS Office Skills
  • Understanding of piping/structural detailing and controls/electrical drafting preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn about piping and drilling rig equipment
  • Ability to occasionally travel
