As a Structural Design Engineer, you'll play a vital role in our team, working closely with experienced engineers and consultants to provide innovative and effective engineering solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineering analysis, design, and development of documents for structural systems, ensuring that all projects meet our high standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems using various building materials, leveraging engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively, building and maintaining strong client relationships through professional communication.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects, assisting in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
  • Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions, collaborating with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering, contributing to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work, conducting oneself in an ethical and professional manner, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  • Engage in the full life cycle of projects from conception through construction, developing designs, construction documents, and participating in construction administration duties such as reviewing construction submittals and participating in job site observations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required.
  • Master's Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred.
