Downtown Fort Worth Law firm seeking paralegal / legal assistant experienced (at least 3+ years) in litigation and transactional work.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys with all aspects of case preparation, including organizing case files, drafting pleadings, and preparing discovery requests and responses.

2. Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and online databases to support attorneys in case strategy and preparation.

3. Assist in the review and analysis of documents, including contracts, pleadings, and deposition transcripts.

4. Prepare and file legal documents with courts, administrative agencies, and other parties as required.

5. Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other case-related events.

6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and databases, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.

7. Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.

8. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure effective case management and workflow.


Skills:

 Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and legal terminology.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.

 Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.

 Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.


Position Details:

 40 hours per week
