Our valued client located in Orange County, California is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager. Our client is part of a 1.5 billion dollar organization with over 8000 employees worldwide. They are seeking a strong leader who has experience in the aerospace or marine manufacturing industry (pumps or engines) or the cryogenics industry. The selected candidate will be a hands on executioner who understands quality from top to bottom. This is a thriving industry with much upside and growth potential. It is an extremely fast paced environment that requires the Sr. Manager to be onsite daily. The chosen candidate will provide effective and efficient management of the quality department and personnel. They will maintain and meet departmental objectives and KPIs. They will be responsible for continual process improvement, project quality, regulatory management to name a few (a complete job description can be provided).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Material, Electromechanical)
ASQ certification preferred
Experience in the cryogenic or marine pump manufacturing industry
5+ years’ experience in a quality leadership or management role within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated knowledge of ASME section VIII, ASME Section IX, PED, ASTM regulations
Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
Dimensional inspection experience of machined components
Previous exposure to a machine shop, foundry, or sheet metal shop
Quality System auditing and reporting experience
In depth working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
