Risk Analyst (Trade Surveillance)

Duration: 4 months (extension possible)

Location: Hybrid | Jersey City, NJ (2-3 days onsite)


Describe your department.

  • 19 members and fantastic culture


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Perform Trade Surveillance and review risks such as Wash Trading, Marking the Close and Insider Trading. The analysts will use systems such as Nasdaq Smarts, Review internal order and trade blotters, review historical pricing, charts etc. assess price manipulation.


What program:

  • Nasdaq Smarts, Bloomberg, Kx Surveillance. They will use daily but training is available and shouldn’t take long to get up to speed


Must-have Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree, 2 years of Surveillance or Advisory Compliance experience.
  • 3 years of Brokerage experience


Nice-to-have Skills

  • Good communication skills
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and Capital Markets experience focused on market manipulation and market abuse (Insider Trading).


Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal; proactive and works well within team.
