DescriptionRobert Half is currently working with a dynamic insurance client looking for an interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This contract CFO position will oversee all finance, accounting, internal controls, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, tax, contract administration, Information Technology, legal administrative, building maintenance and facilities functions. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall financial health and well-being of the organization. This opportunity will offer remote work flexibility but requires travel. Your responsibilities in this role- Direct accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls- Handle relationships with investors and investment institutions- Oversee strategic management of the Accounting and Finance functions- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements- Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades- Suggest improvements to ensure the integrity of a company's financial information- Manage or oversee the relationship with independent auditorsRequirements- Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior accounting/finance position- Demonstrate proficiency with accounting software and other computer software- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving and multi-tasking skills- CPA designation or MBA highly preferredJob typeTemp to Perm
