ChemDAQ, Inc., a rapidly-growing manufacturing company based in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Customer Account Manager to support our growing customer base. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the prospective candidate, as long-term growth potential is available. 


ChemDAQ manufactures gas monitors and sensors that help keep employees safe across multiple industries. As a Customer Account Manager you will be responsible for taking the necessary steps to set up, onboard, and renew services as the primary point of contact for your assigned customers. This role is critical to establishing an ongoing relationship with new and existing customers. 


Responsibilities

  • Serve on the team of ChemDAQ’s customer-facing representatives, working to build relationships with your assigned customers, listen to ongoing needs, and collaborate across departments (e.g. Technical Services) to solve customer problems
  • Partner with the Sales and Production teams to validate new orders, understand customer order status, and actively manage customer inquiries
  • Manage and process contract renewals for ChemDAQ’s Sensor Exchange Program (SXP) and Extended Warranty program
  • Facilitate revisions of customer-specific terms and conditions, as needed
  • Conduct onboarding and order status updates with new customers to provide clarity of our business processes and to increase customer satisfaction
  • Document and manage customer information and records to ensure consistency in company-wide business systems (e.g. Peachtree, Microsoft Access, and Odoo)
  • Develop high-level knowledge of ChemDAQ equipment to support customers in their unique application 
  • Process sales orders, including new sales and product upgrades, to establish long-term account success
  • Solicit customer feedback on ChemDAQ products to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent contract cancellations 


Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent experience
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage information across multiple platforms
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, customer-first attitude
  • Relevant customer service experience

ChemDAQ manufactures and sells gas monitoring and control systems for hard-to-detect chemicals within the healthcare and industrial industries. All of our gas monitoring systems come equipped with an annual subscription to the Sensor Exchange Program (SXP). Under this program, we routinely ship pre-calibrated sensors to all of our customers at regularly scheduled intervals to ensure every ChemDAQ gas monitor in the market is calibrated properly and provides accurate and reliable readings to keep workers safe.
