Mechanical Design Engineer

***This position is ONSITE in Green Cove Springs, FL***


Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.
  • Preparation of accurate 3D solid models in Autodesk Inventor. Preparation of Bill of Materials.
  • Support on Processing Engineering Change Order (ECO) using Autodesk Vault Professional.
  • Devise new design solutions to problems encountered.
  • Assist On-Going Product Improvement team with Daily designs per Customer.
  • Assist Product Development Team with New designs concepts needed to assist build new product.


Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 0-3 Years of working experience in design of Heavy-Duty Equipment.
  • Ability to read Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic schematics.
  • Knowledge of 3D solid modeling, Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional preferred
  • Skilled in working with
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design, water piping and hose routing.
  • Basic knowledge of steel and aluminum manufacturing processes, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding
  • Preferred Knowledge of Parametric modeling this would include something akin to iAssemblies, iParts, Factories....the ability to drive a model dimension through a parameter or a logical statement.
  • GD&T (Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)
  • Knowledge of FEA will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems for mobile equipment is a plus.
