Seeking an experienced and influential Agile Release Training Engineer (RTE) to play a key role in transforming our teams into high-performing, collaborative units. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent coaching and facilitation skills, and a unique ability to influence. As the RTE helping to lead an exciting global transformation program, you will work closely with 8+ cross-functional agile teams, leadership, and stakeholders to foster an agile mindset, enhance delivery processes, optimize overall team performance and facilitate PI Planning events.
As an Agile Process Lead, you will lead and support a team of Scrum Masters and Product Owners, ensuring successful implementations of initiatives in our multi-year transformation roadmap. your role will involve coaching and mentoring Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Team Members, facilitating Agile processes and helping to ensure solutions are accepted by stakeholders within fixed timelines.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of proven experience as an Agile Release Train Engineer (Chief Scrum Master) in a variety of environments
- Certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- Experience coordinating and facilitating PI Planning/Quarterly Planning events
- Effective communication, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills at the C-Suite to individual team member levels
- Experience in software development and project management
- Experience managing Scrum Masters and Product Owners
- Experience with hands-on Agile training
- Proficient with Atlassian products, such as Jira Software and Confluence
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced certifications in Agile methodologies are a plus.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Facilitation:
- Conduct Agile ceremonies, workshops, and retrospectives to facilitate collaboration and learning, such as Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs and any other cross functional/cross team collaborations
- Guide teams in effective use of Agile tools and techniques, such as Atlassian Jira Software
- Facilitate large events /open dialog sessions to enable agility, such as PI Planning.
- Lead Scrum teams into self-organization
Risk Management:
- Actively manages risks related to the ART
- Proactively address potential challenges and work towards minimizing disruptions
Driving Relentless Improvement:
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the ART
- Encourages teams to learn from each PI and adapt their practices accordingly
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Agile teams, ensuring they follow Agile principles and practices.
- Help teams set up their team boards, workflow automation, and automated reporting
- Assist organizations to define, prioritize, and decompose requirements in Product and Program Backlogs.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure Agile success
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the progress of Agile adoption such as Jira dashboards, Advanced Road map plans
- Generate and analyze metrics to provide insights into project performance and areas for improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to foster a culture of agility throughout the organization.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment with Agile principles.
Innovative Problem-Solving:
- Innovative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of Agile practices.
- Ability to introduce and experiment with emerging Agile trends.
